Antonio Guerreiro, 1947, was born in Madrid, Spain. He lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. He has a Economics degree from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1969). Worked in Correio da Manhã newspaper (1968) and after that in the Estudio Jornal do Brasil and Pasquim newspapers. He travelled to France and worked as fashion photographer for Manchete magazine in Paris (1970−1972). Back to Brazil, he stood out as fashion photographer collaborating with the main magazines and advertising agencies of the country. He was also a distinguished portraitist of personalities of the art and high society environments. Photographed album covers of artists such as Alcione, Gonzaguinha, Jorge Ben Jor, Gal Costa, Lulu Santos, Tim Maia, among others. He worked during 10 years in Playboy magazine. He received the Abril award of best photo of the year in 1981 and 1983 and he was prized with the Honrable Mention of the Associação Paulista dos Críticos de Arte (São Paulo Association of Art Critics) in 1980 for A Dama da Lotação movie poster.
